How Robot Taxi works

Four steps. Ten seconds. Verified by our Trust Engine.

1

Capture

Take a photo or short video of the incident from a safe vantage. The plate should be readable; the rest we handle.

2

Identify

Our on-device plate detector extracts the vehicle identifier. You confirm or correct before it leaves your phone.

3

Tag

Pick the offence from a shortlist. Add optional context in one sentence. No long forms.

4

Verify

The Trust Engine cross-references the submission — perceptual hash, AI plausibility, geolocation sanity, and multi-source corroboration — before it counts.

The Trust Engine, plainly

Every submission goes through layered checks before it reaches a public tally or an insurer partner. We use perceptual hashing to deduplicate near-identical images, AI plausibility scoring to detect manipulation, and geolocation sanity so reports at physically implausible coordinates are down-weighted. Multi-source corroboration ensures a single voice does not move the needle on any one driver.

The Community Observation Index (COI) is what an insurance underwriter actually sees — a parish- and vehicle-level score derived from the verified submissions, not the raw firehose.

FAQ

Is my submission anonymous?
Yes. You can submit without creating an account. We store only cryptographic hashes of device and IP — never your identity.
What happens if I submit a report by mistake?
Our Trust Engine reviews every submission. Mistaken or low-confidence reports are filtered out before being published or shared with insurers.
Can the police access my identity through Robot Taxi?
No. We do not share identifiable data of submitters. Any lawful request would require a court order and would be handled under the Jamaica Data Protection Act 2020.
